Activities for week two first semester 9/8 - 9/11 - 2015

I am glad you are in my class, and I enjoyed our week together last week. This week we want to get going and start working on our reading, vocabulary, and writing. Do you have all your materials for class (SSR book, spiral notebook)? Charles Schulz stated "Life is a ten-speed bike. Most of us have gears we never use." This year let's see if both you and I can use all our gears. Remember - I will always be here in the mornings.

Tuesday 9/8

Wednesday 9/9
1. Pass out Books
2. Read “On Being Responsible
3. Setup Spiral Notebook
4. Study Prefixes and Make Note Cards (homework)

Thursday 9/10
1. Lecture: “Literary Terms”
2. Cards due and Study Prefixes
3. Read “The Interlopers” pages 8 - 13 (homework)

Friday 9/11
1. Finish and Review Lecture
2. Read aloud and Discuss "The Interlopers"
3. Do "The Interlopers" worksheet (homework)

***Extra Credit***

Print the blog and have a parent print their name and sign that they have seen it and know that all work will be listed there. This is due Wednesday before class on the stool by the podium.
