Welcome Back - Week one's lessons 9/4 - 9/7 - 07

This is your second year of high school - you should know what high school is. I will usually be here and ready to go by 7:10 am to handle questions and make up work. Make up Test are done at 7:25 am; don't be late. Please come and see me if have any questions or problems. Let's be a "Team" no "I" in team- we work together.

Print the lessons every week and glue stick them in your spiral notebook. (points)

Tuesday 9/4
1. Discuss and sign Guidelines (homework)
2. Introductions and phone numbers
3. Fill out Interest Cards
4. Get 3 section spiral notebook- college rule paper (extra credit 25 points - by Friday)

Wednesday 9/5
1. Overview of class
2. Literary Terms quiz
3. Read The Race
4. Write about a positive lesson. MLA format
*Type and double space
Think about a time where you over came something. Who helped you and what did you learn? Describe the situation and what the lesson was. (Homework)

Thursday 9/6
1. Review and discuss homework.
2. Review quiz and discuss examples.
3. Grammar Quiz, “Spell Checker” (Homework)

Friday 9/7
1. Review quiz at the board
2. Set up Reading Cards (10 pts a day for book in class and reading)
3. Review “Interest Cards”
4. Get Vocabulary Book and have it in class Monday and everyday. (Homework)
