For you this means you need to keep working for the whole semester. Next we will be working on writing an expository essay and we will be working on the Greek tragedy Antigone. The first step in teachability is learning to listen. Henry David Thoreau wrote, "It takes two to speak the truth - one to speak and one to hear." Being a good listener helps us to know people better, to learn what they have learned, and to show them that we value them as individuals. I value you as a student - come and talk to me, so I can know you better and help you more. As the old saying goes, "There's a reason you have one mouth but two ears."
