Activities for week twelve 4/28 - 5/2 - 2014

We are very close to finishing your second year at El Dorado and you becoming a junior. President Abraham Lincoln said, "You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today." Practicing responsibility will do great things for you. It will strengthen your talent, advance your skills, and increase your opportunities. Now as we start Julius Caesar make sure you ask questions and finish what you start. As always, I will be here every morning to answer questions or help you anyway possible. Please see me if you have any questions on Julius Caesar, your Act I - Act V packets, vocabulary, or anything. Also check Aeries and know what your grade is in this class - it can still go up.

Novelist Charles Wilson says, "No matter the size of the bottle, the cream always rises to the top." Talent gives you a head start on others, but the advantage it gives lasts only a short time. Songwriter Irving Berlin understood this truth when he said, "The toughest thing about success is that you've got to keep on being a success. Talent is only a starting point in business. Activities for week ten 2nd semester 4/7 - 4/11 - 2014

British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli observed, The greatest good you can do for another is not just to share your riches but to reveal to him his own." That is really the essence of positive relationships that influence people to rise up and reach their potential. They see the best in you and encourage you to strive for it. Author William Allen Ward remarked, "A true friend knows your weaknesses but shows you your strengths; feels your fears but fortifies your faith; sees your anxieties but frees your spirit; recognizes your disabilities but emphasizes your possibilities." As we finish the school year let's lift each other up and influence each other in positive ways. If you are struggling in this class you need to see me this week, so we can set up a plan for you to succeed. Please check Aeries and make up your S.S.Reading points from the last two weeks.
