Activities for week eleven 4/19 - 4/23 - 2010

Novelist Charles Wilson says, "No matter the size of the bottle, the cream always rises to the top." Talent gives you a head start on others, but the advantage it gives lasts only a short time. Songwriter Irving Berlin understood this truth when he said, "The toughest thing about success is that you've got to keep on being a success. Talent is only a starting point in business. You've got to keep working that talent." As we finish the school year keep working your best. Please if you are having problems you need to see me. This week I will be gone Thursday and Friday to Ojai for a tennis tournament, so you need to see me before that.

British prime minister Benjamin Disraeli observed, The greatest good you can do for another is not just to share your riches but to reveal to him his own." That is really the essence of positive relationships that influence people to rise up and reach their potential. They see the best in you and encourage you to strive for it. Author William Allen Ward remarked, "A true friend knows your weaknesses but shows you your strengths; feels your fears but fortifies your faith; sees your anxieties but frees your spirit; recognizes your disabilities but emphasizes your possibilities." As we finish the school year let's lift each other up and influence each other in positive ways.
